Account and sign-in
I didn’t get my sign-in code.
Check your spam or junk folder, and make sure the email address is spelled correctly. Codes expire after a short time, so request a new one if needed.
Can I sign in with Apple?
Yes, on iPhone tap Continue with Apple. If you choose Hide My Email, Apple gives us a private relay address and forwards our emails to you. Always use the same sign-in method (email, Google or Apple) so you reach the same CrowdUp account.
How do I change my name, photo or interests?
Open the Profile tab and tap Edit. Changes show straight away.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → settings → Delete my account. You can also follow the steps on our account deletion page.
I don’t get notifications.
In the app, open Profile → settings → Notifications and check the switches are on. Then check your phone’s settings: Apps → CrowdUp → Notifications must be allowed. Battery saver can delay notifications on some phones.
Why was my photo or text refused?
CrowdUp checks photos and meeting details automatically to keep the community safe. Photos with nudity, violence or other unsafe content, and words that aren’t allowed, are refused. Please choose another photo or change the wording. If you think it was a mistake, email us.
Meetings and codes
Someone sent me a meeting code. What do I do?
Install CrowdUp, sign in, tap Join by code and enter the code. You’ll see a short preview and can answer Going or Can’t go.
My meeting code doesn’t work.
Codes stop working when the meeting ends or if the host deleted it. Check the code with the host; codes look like K7X4-M2.
I forgot to verify my meeting.
Hosts have 5 hours from the start to verify. After that, the meeting shows as not verified on the host record and can’t be changed.
Premium and billing
How do I cancel Premium?
On Android: Google Play → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → CrowdUp → Cancel. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → CrowdUp → Cancel. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are handled by Google Play or Apple, so refunds are requested from them. See our Subscription Terms for how.
I paid but don’t have Premium.
Make sure you’re signed in to the same CrowdUp account and store account you subscribed with, then tap Restore purchases on the Premium screen. If that doesn’t work, email us with your order number from the store receipt.
Safety and reporting
How do I report or block someone?
Open the member’s profile or the meeting and use Report or Block. You can also email us. We review reports within 24 hours.
I feel unsafe at a meeting.
Leave straight away and contact local emergency services if you’re in danger. Then report the member to us so we can act. Please read our safety guidance.
Privacy and your data
Who can see my information?
See the table in our Privacy Policy. Private meetings are never shown in Discover, in search or on anyone’s profile.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email us from your account’s email address and we’ll reply within 30 days.
